The Role
As our Founding Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and shaping Occupational Therapy as a core service within our clinic. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a growing Occupational Therapist department within a well-established Allied Health Hub.
You will:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans to support clients in achieving meaningful functional outcomes
- Work with individuals across the lifespan, including children and adolescents (depending on your experience and interest)
- Support clients with a range of presentations, including physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs
- Collaborate within our multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, client-centred care
- Lead the development and expansion of Occupational Therapy services within the clinic, helping to define the scope, structure, and future direction of the Occupational Therapist offering
- Design and implement systems, processes, and service pathways to support a high-quality, scalable Occupational Therapist department
- Identify growth opportunities and contribute to strategic planning for the expansion of Occupational Therapist services across our locations
- Play a key role in future team development, including mentoring and supporting new Occupational Therapists as the department grows
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within our Occupational Therapist service

About You – Our Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 5 years’ post-graduation experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working with a variety of client presentations and intervention approaches
- Passionate about working in a team environment and contributing to a vibrant workplace culture
- You may bring experience or interest in areas such as:
- Pediatrics and early intervention
- Neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD)
- Functional capacity assessments and NDIS services
- Sensory processing and integration
- Rehabilitation and return-to-work programs
- Mental health and psychosocial support
- Assistive technology and home modifications
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Full registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years’ post-graduation experience
- Eligibility for relevant funding bodies (e.g. Medicare, NDIS, DVA – where applicable)
- Current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- NSW Working with Children Check and National Police Ch
